TRACK & FIELD TAKES PART IN AREA MEET

April 11 (WOS) – Track & Field took part in the Area Meet Thursday afternoon at West Orange-Stark High School. The girls took third place overall. Results are as follows: Dinah Tippins (2nd place and new school record (17’7”) in the Long Jump and Area Champion and new school record (24.99) in the 200m Dash), Janet Le (3rd place in the Pole Vault and 6th place in the 200m Dash), Allyson Welch (4th place in the 3200m Run), Chloe Davis (6th place in the 800m Run), Paisley Angelle (2nd place in the 100m Hurdles and 2nd place and new school record (47.60) in the 300m Hurdles), and Chelsea Petree (4th place in the 100m Dash). The relay team of Janet Le, Dinah Tippins,Carly Fisher, and Chelsea Petree took the Area Championship in the 4x1 Relay and finished 2nd and set a new school record (1:44.16) in the 4x2 Relay.

For the boys, Carson Phelps placed 4th in the Shot put, Alantheon Winn took 2nd in the High Jump, Jackson Smith was 4th(PR) in the 400m Run, and Chase Peacock to 4th(PR) in the 1600m Run.

LADY BEARS BACK-TO-BACK DISTRICT CHAMPIONS

April 4 (Silsbee) – The Lady Bears Track & Field team captured their second straight team district title at the District 19-4A Meet Thursday afternoon. LCM was led by high point girl, sophomore Dinah Tippins (below). Results are as follows: Jaiden Romar (6th place in the Shot Put), Dinah Tippins (District Champion in the Long Jump and 200m Dash), Janet Le (1st place in the Pole Vault and 3rd place in the 200m Dash), Ashlynn Mobbs (3rd place in the Pole Vault), Allyson Welch (2nd place in the 3200m Run and 2nd place in the 1600m Run), Chloe Davis (5th place in the 3200m Run, District Champion in the 800m Run, and 3rd place in the 1600m Run), Presley Skinner (6th place in the 3200m Run), Taylor Huckaby (5th place in the Discus), Kinsley Doucet (6th place in the Discus), Paisley Angelle (6th place in the Triple Jump, 5th place in the High Jump, District Champion in the 100m Hurdles, and 2nd place in the 300m Hurdles), Sarah Taylor (3rd place in the Triple Jump, 5th place in the Long Jump, and 5th place in the High Jump), Aaliyah Morris (3rd place in the 100m Hurdles), Carly Fisher (3rd place in the 400m Dash), and Chelsea Petree (2nd place in the 100m Dash). Janet Le, Dinah Tippins, Carly Fisher, and Chelsea Petree are the 4x1 Relay District Champions. Le, Tippins, Kinsey Dryden, and Petree are the 4x2 Relay District Champions. In the 4x4 Relay, Paisley Angelle, Dryden, Haylie Robson, and Fisher finished 4th.

The boys finished 5th overall in the meet. Results are as follows: Danyon Craft (1st place in the Pole Vault), Carson Phelps (3rd place in the Shot Put), Alantheon Winn (2nd place in the High Jump), Cazador Edgerton (4th place in the 800m Run), Jackson Smith (3rd place in the 400m Run), J’Lynn Morris (4th place in the 200m Run), and Chase Peacock (3rd place in the 1600m Run and 3rd place in the 3200m Run). In the 4x1 Relay, PJ Smith, Jackson Smith, J’Lynn Morris, and Gavin Victoria took 4th. In the 4x2 Relay, PJ Smith, Co’Ryan Kemp, Braylon Lewis, and Braxton Rambo also took 4th. The team of Jackson Smith, Co’Ryan Kemp, KD Reed, and Taylor Castaneda finished 2nd.

Petree, Dryden, Tippins, and Le set a new school record in the 4x2 Relay

March 28 (Silsbee) – The Lady Bear Track & Field team took second place overall at the Silsbee Meet Thursday. Results are as follows: Jaiden Romar (3rd place in the Shot Put), Dinah Tippins (4th place in the Long Jump), Janet Le (1st place in the Pole Vault), Allyson Welch (4th place in the 3200m Run), Chloe Davis (3rd place in the 800m Run), Paisley Angelle (1st place in the 100m Hurdles), Aaliyah Morris (3rd place in the 100m Hurdles), and Chelsea Petree (2nd place in the 100m Dash). In the relays, Janet Le, Dinah Tippins, Paisley Angelle, and Chelsea Petree took 1st in the 4x1 and set a new school record. In the 4x2 Relay, Janet Le, Dinah Tippins, Kinsey Dryden, and Chelsea Petree took 2nd and also set a new school record.

JV BEARS WIN DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP

March 20 (LCM) – The LCM Boys JV track team are District Champions. The Bears won the JV District Track & Field meet Wednesday afternoon at Battlin’ Bear Stadium. Results are as follows: Nathan Childress (1st place in the Shot Put), Devon Doe (1st place Discus), Isaac Woods (3rd place Discus), Bryson Lucas (2nd place in the High Jump and 3rd place in the 400m Run), Jackson Green (3rd place in the High Jump), Jacob Scheiderer (1st place in the Triple Jump and 4th place in the 200m Run), Jackson Struwe (2nd place in the Triple Jump and 2nd place in the 100m Run), Brynnen Manning (3rd place in the Triple Jump, 5th place in the Long Jump, and 6th place in the 300m Hurdles, Dawson Stanley (1st place in the Pole Vault), Jonathan Ly (1st place in the 3200m Run and 2nd place in the 1600m Run), Michael Ly (2nd place in the 3200m Run and 5th place in the 1600m Run), Brodie Fisher (1st place in the 800m Run and 1st place in the 1600m Run), Landon Craft (3rd place in the 800m Run), Jaylin Hoffpauir (5th place in the 110m Hurdles), Marcus Smith (2nd place in the 400m Hurdles), Konner McLarty (2nd place in the300m Hurdles), Michael Pitre (5th place in the 300m Hurdles), and Braydon Lampman (2nd place in the 200m Hurdles). In the 4x100 Relay, Jacob Scheiderer, Jackson Struwe, Braydon Lampman, and Christian Carrillo took 2nd place. In the 4x200 Relay, Sheiderer, Struwe, Lampman, and Jonah Fuller took 2nd place and in the 4x400 Relay, Bryson Lucas, Marcus Smith, Konner McLarty, and Jackson Green took 2nd.

The Lady Bears District results are as follows: Kyleigh Sowell (4 place in the Discus), Cailynn Nichols (6 place in the Discus), Lahna Hughes (1 place in the Shot Put), and Danna Perez (4 place in the 800m Run and 2 place in the 1600m Run).

LADY BEARS WIN ORANGEFIELD MEET, BEARS SIXTH

March 14 (Orangefield) – The Lady Bears Track & Field team took 1st place at the Mike Gentry Relays in Orangefield Thursday night. LCM finished the meet with 177 points. Individual results are as follows: Jaiden Romar (3rd place in the Shot Put), Dinah Tippins (1st place in the Long Jump and 1st place in the 200m Dash), Sarah Taylor (5th place in the High Jump, 5th place in the Long Jump, and 3rd place in the Triple Jump), Janet Le (1st place in the Pole Vault), Presley Skinner (6th place in the 3200m Run), Allyson Welch (2nd place in the 3200m Run and 2nd place in the 1600m Run), Chloe Davis (1st place in the 800m Run), Aubrey Temple (3rd place in the 800m Run), Paisley Angelle (5th place in the Triple Jump, 1st place in the 100m Hurdles, and 2nd place in the 200m Hurdles), Aaliyah Morris (4th place in the 100m Hurdles), Chelsea Petree (2nd place in the 200m Dash), and Carly Fisher (2nd place in the 400m Dash). The team of Le, Tippins, Fisher and Petree took 1st place in the 4x1 Relay. Le, Petree, Tippins, and Kinsey Dryden won 1st in the 4x2 Relay and the team of Angelle, Dryden, Haylie Robson, and Fisher took 2nd in the 4x4 Relay. 

In the boys meet the Bears finished 6th overall out of 11 teams. Individual results are as follows: Carson Phelps (2nd place in the Shot Put), Ian Loncon (4th place in the Shot Put), Eddie Winters (6th place in the Discus), Alantheon Winn (4th place in the High Jump), Danyon Craft (5th place in the Pole Vault), Chase Peacock (2nd place in the 3200m Run and 3rd place in the 1600m Run), Jackson Smith (4th place in the 400m Run), Taylor Castenada (5th place in the 400m Run), and Gavin Victoria (5th place in the 200m Run). In the 4x1, Daunte Greer, Victoria, Smith, and J’Lynn Morris took 6th. The team of Co’Ryan Kemp, Cazador Edgerton, KD Reed, and Castenada finished 5th in the 4x4.

BEARS COMPETE IN VIDOR RELAYS

Paisley Angelle (above) set a new school record in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 15.12.

March 7 (Vidor) – The Bear Track and Field team competed in the Vidor Pirate Relays Thursday afternoon.

The Bears finished 4 overall and the individual results are as follows: Alantheon Winn (3rd place in the High Jump and 4th place in the Long Jump), Danyon Craft (3rd place in the Pole Vault), Chase Peacock (3rd place in the 3200m Run and 3rd place in the 1600m Run), Kamron Livingston (4th place in the 3200m Run and 5th place in the 1600m Run), Jackson Smith (2nd place in the 400m Run), and Co’Ryan Kemp (6th place in the 400m Run). In the 4x100, PJ Smith, Gavin Victoria, Braylon Lewis, and J’Lynn Morris took 5th. In the 4x200, Jackson Smith, Co’Ryan Kemp, KD Reed, and Taylor Castenada took 1st.

The Lady Bears placed 2nd overall. The girls individual results are as follows: Jaiden Romar (4th place in the Shot Put), Dinah Tippins (2nd place in the Long Jump and 2nd place in the 200m Dash), Sarah Taylor (5th place in the Triple Jump), Mallory Russell (3rd place in the High Jump), Janet Le (1st place in the Pole Vault and 5th place in the 200m Dash), Allyson Welch (3rd place in the 3200m Run and 4th place in the 1600m Run), Chloe Davis (5th place in the 800m Run), Paisley Angelle (1st place in the 100m Hurdles and 1st place in the 300m Hurdles), Aaliyah Morris (6th place in the 100m Hurdles), Chelsea Petree (3rd place in the 100m Dash), and Carly Fisher (2nd place in the 400m Dash). The 4x1 team of Le, Tippins, Fisher, and Petree took 1st place. In the 4x2, Le, Petree, Tippins, and Kinsey Dryden placed 2nd and in the 4x4, Dryden, Angelle, Haylie Robson, and Fisher took 4th.

CARDINAL RELAYS RESULTS

February 29 (Bridge City) – The Bear Track & Field team took part in the Bridge City Cardinal Relays Thursday afternoon.

The boys results are as follows: Alantheon Winn (2nd place in the High Jump), Carson Phelps (1st place in the Shot Put), Ian Loncon (5th place in the Shot Put), Eddie Winters (3rd place in the Discus), Danyon Craft (4th place in the Pole Vault), Chase Peacock (3rd place in the 3200m Run and 3rd place in the1600m Run), and Kamron Livingston (4th place in the 3200m Run and 6th place in the 1600m Run). The 4x100 team of Co’Ryan Kemp, Braydon Lampman, Braylon Lewis, and PJ Smith took 6th place. In the 4x200 Kemp, Lampman, Lewis, and Smith took 6th. Jackson Smith, Cazador Edgerton, KD Reed, and Taylor Castenada placed 2nd in the 4x400.  

The Lady Bears placed 3rd overall in the 13 team meet. The girls results are as follows: Dinah Tippins (3rd place in the 200m Dash), Sarah Taylor (5th place in the Long Jump), Mallory Russell (3rd place in the High Jump), Janet Le (3rd place in the Pole Vault), Chloe Davis (6th place in the 800m Run), Paisley Angelle (1st place in the 100m Hurdles and 1st place in the 300m Hurdles), and Carly Fisher (3rd place in the 400m Dash). The 4x100 team of Le, Tippins, Fisher, and Chelsea Petree took 2nd place. In the 4x200 Le, Petree, Tippins, and Kinsey Dryden took 2nd place. In the 4x400 Dryden, Angelle, Davis, and Fisher finished 5th.

February 22 (Port Neches) – The Bear Track and Field team took 4th place out of 11 teams at PNG’s Joe Williamson Relays. Results are as follows: Alantheon Winn (1st Place in the High Jump), Carson Phelps (2nd place in the Shot Put), Ian Loncon (6th place in the Shot Put), Danyan Craft (3rd Pplace in the Pole Vault), Isaac Pinder (6th place in the Pole Vault), Chase Peacock (2nd place in the 3200m Run and 4th place in the 1600m Run), and Kamron Livingston (3rd place in the 3200m Run). In the 4x200, PJ Smith, Gavin Victoria, Braylon Lewis, and Co’Ryan Kemp took 6th. In the 4x400, Jackson Smith, Gavin Victoria, KD Reed, and Taylor Castenada took 5th place.

The results are as follows: Taylor Huckaby (6th place in the Shot Put), Dinah Tippins (2nd in the Long Jump and 2nd in the 200m Dash), Sarah Taylor (3rd place in the Long Jump and 3rd place in the Triple Jump), Mallory Russell (1st place in the High Jump), Janet Le (2nd place in the Pole Vault and 4th place in the 100m Dash), Chloe Davis (3rd place in the 800m Run), Paisley Angelle (1st place in the 100m Hurdles and 2nd place in the 300m Hurdles), Carly Fisher (1st place in the 400m Dash), Maya Meadows (3rd place in the 300m Hurdles), and Chelsea Petree (5th place in the 200m Dash). The team of Le, Tippins, Fisher, and Petree took 4th in the 4x1 Relay. In the 4x2 Relay, the team of Meadows, Petree, Tippins, and Taylor took 3rd place. In the 4x4 Relay, Kinsey Dryden, Angelle, Meadows, and Fisher finished 3rd.
