McNeese Access Award
Award: Approximately $2500 per semester (amount of non-resident/out-of-state fee)
First-time freshman may receive a non-resident fee waiver if they meet the following criteria: Minimum ACT of 21 or SAT of 1060, a GPA of 2.25 on a 4.0 scale, and have no need for developmental course work. This means they will not pay out-of-state fees. Students in band, dance, cheerleaders, choir, rodeo, debate, and art can also receive out of state fees waived.

McNeese Honors College
Admission criteria 3.4 on 4.0 scale, 27 ACT or 1210 SAT. A written eessay and interview with Honors College Admissions Committee, and 3 letters of recommendation from teachers, principals, or counselors. McNeese will award its best four-year academic scholarships to freshmen entering the Honors College. Each scholarship will cover the cost of tuition, a dorm room, on-campus meal fees, and up to $1,200 annually for books and supplies.
