Beaumont A&M Club Scholarship

The Beaumont A&M Club will have their Spring meeting on Tuesday, February 27, at 6:30 p.m.  They have two $10,000 scholarships and several $1500-$2000 scholarships available for graduating seniors.  Seniors and/or an immediate family member *MUST* attend this meeting to pick up a scholarship application.  A complimentary dinner will be served to students and their family members.  In addition, representatives from Texas A&M Student Affairs, Corps of Cadets, Financial Aid and Cooperative Ed will be at the meeting to answer questions.  Juniors and their family interested in learning about Texas A&M are welcome to attend the complimentary dinner and information meeting.  More information is available on the LCMHS Scholarships webpage.

AP Exam Sign-ups

Students who are enrolled in AP courses and who are planning to take one or more AP exams may sign up between now and Wednesday, March 28 in Marcia Brown’s office.

The cost is $94 per exam, however, students who meet eligibility for free or reduced meals may take AP tests for $29 per exam.

Students MUST pay at the time of registration.  If paying by check, the driver’s license number of the person who signed the check MUST be on the check.

Honey Bear Tryouts

Attention current 9th-11th graders, Honey Bears Drill Team tryout forms are available from Mrs. Scott in room 228.  Come by before school or in between classes.  Forms are due Friday, March 2nd.

McNeese Open House

The College of Engineering and Computer Science at McNeese State University will hold its annual open house for students on Tuesday, February 27th, 2018.

The open house will include tours of departmental and campus facilities and demonstrations of student projects in civil, chemical, electrical, mechanical engineering as well as computer science.  During the tours the visiting students will be able to interface with our engineering and computer science students and faculty.

Texas A&M Scholarship

If you have been accepted to Texas A&M University, please pick up an Orange County Texas A&M University Mother’s Club 2018 Scholarship form from Ms. Brown in the Counseling Dept.  The completed scholarship application is due by Thursday, March 1.  (Please bring a copy of your official acceptance letter to Ms, Brown, if you haven’t already turned it in, to pick up the scholarship application.)
