Library Services

  • When students come to the library without their class, they must sign in.
  • Students are allowed to visit the library before school, after school, and during their lunch period.
  • During class time students must have a written pass from their teacher.
  • To visit the library during advisory, students must have a blue advisory pass.

Books:

  • Check out three (3) books simultaneously
  • Book loan period is three (3) weeks​
  • A fine will be charged for lost or damaged material

Calculators:

  • Calculator loan period is three (3) weeks​
  • A fine will be charged for lost or damaged material

To renew books or calculators, log in to Follett Destiny with your district username and district ID for your password, Click My Info and click Renew.

Computers:

  • Library computers are for academic purpose only. ​
  • Please do not tamper with the computer settings. ​
  • Follow the internet safety guidelines.

Printing/Copying:

ALL PRINTING/COPYING IS FREE IN THE LIBRARY! 

  • Be sure to choose the LCMHS-Library-Copier(B&W) for black and white printing.  ​
  • If you are asked for a password, you have chosen the color printer.
  • For color printing, choose the LCMHS-Library-Copier(Color) and ask library staff for the code

PLEASE print responsibly and on as few pages as possible.  Consolidate images on one page and avoid solid background when able for efficient color printing.

Scanning:

  • Scan documents as a PDF in black and white or full color and send to an email.

Research:

  • TexQuest is a statewide digital resources program that provides anytime, anywhere access to high quality, authoritative digital resources to all educators, students, and students' immediate families in Texas K-12 public schools ​
  • Browse the resources in the TexQuest folder in ClassLink or the library website​
  • Ask your teacher or the librarian for usernames and passwords
