Below is the proposed list of books that I am suggesting for purchase for our MMS School Library.  I've been working since the beginning of school to get a book list together to propose. I was careful in selecting each of them that they were appropriate for middle school audiences, and followed our district policy that each of the following materials has at least two reliable source ratings and descriptions. The sections that I worked on developing the most were sports fiction, historical fiction, graphic novels, and then my career and college readiness at the request of our principles of manufacturing teacher to be able to do a project. The focus on sports fiction and historical fiction are because they are our smallest fiction sections, and I would really love to give the students a wide variety of appropriate resources for those sections so they have a better chance of finding a book they like. Graphic novels are always popular, especially with struggling readers.
