English I

Course Description

English I is a required course used to prepare students in literacy analysis through various techniques in vocabulary acquisition, the writing process, and grammar. The primary focus of the course is to develop a firm foundation in the subject that can be built on from year to year. Course material is developed in alignment with the Language Arts Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and covers a wide variety of literary genres.
