SAT Testing

Testing - SATThe SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) Reasoning Test measures the critical thinking skills you will need for academic success in college. It is given several times during the school year. Saturday SATs are not given at LCMHS; however, School-Day SATs are available at LCMHS for seniors in October and for juniors and seniors in March or April.
What’s on the SAT

In Spring 2024, all SATs went digital.

All high school juniors/seniors may take ONE School-Day SAT for FREE (additional School-Day administrations will have a charge of $41+ for 2025-2026, which is less than the Saturday administration fees in the bullets below).

Juniors are encouraged to take their SAT or ACT for the first time beginning the spring semester of their junior year (January-June). Seniors who have not yet taken their SAT or ACT exam or who wish to take the exam again should plan to take them in the early fall of their senior year in order to meet college admission deadlines.

Income-eligible students may be eligible for fee waivers. They can take two additional free SAT tests. For Saturday SAT registration, income-eligible students should see your guidance counselor for a fee waiver. If you take the School-Day SAT and apply for the waiver (see fee waiver link), your waiver will be in your College Board account.

School-Day Registrations will be done through the Counselors Office.
Saturday SAT Registrations: https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/register
The LCM School Code needed to register for the Satuday SAT is 445240.

  • Saturday SATs = $68 (Includes reports for you, your high school, and up to four college choices when you register online OR designate colleges during School-Day administration OR up to 9 days after you take the test; fee applies after 9 days)
  • Saturday LATE registration – add $38
  • Send Additional Scores to Colleges - add $15 each (FREE if requested by deadlines below)
    • Each time you register to take a Saturday SAT, you can send your score to up to four organizations for free. You can designate your score recipients at the time you register or any time until you take the test. You also have until nine days after the test to use or change your free score sends. After that, there's a fee.
    • If you take the School-Day SAT at your school, you can choose your FREE score sends during exam setup or within three days after testing. To make or change your selections within those three days, use your sign-in ticket from the test to sign in to Bluebook. Then go to My Tests Past where this test will be listed and click SAT Score Sends.
