LADY BEARS WRAP UP SEASON AT REGIONAL TOURNEY
April 15 (Huntsville) – The Lady Bears golf team wrapped up their season at the 4A Region III tournament. The tournament was played at Sam Houston State’s Beakat Golf Course in Huntsville.
ADKINS GETS WIN 377
April 15 (LCM) – Head Coach Dena Adkins capped off the regular season with her 377th win in LCM’s 4-2 win over Jasper Tuesday night. Adkins and the Lady Bears (26-4-1, 12-0) capped off an undefeated district championship with the win.

April 14 – Congratulations to senior, Parker Seago for being selected as the LCM Bears Athlete of the Week. Parker has played exceptionally well for the Bears both on the mound and at the plate. On Tuesday, he earned the win over Silsbee with 11 strikeouts. He also hit .429 last week with 3 hits, 1 walk, 1 HBP, 1 stolen base, 2 RBIs, 2 runs scored, & had the walk off hit in the bottom of the 7th inning to defeat the Tigers on Friday.
BARCLAY SELECTED LADY BEARS AOW
April 14 – Congratulations to freshman, Brianca Barclay for being selected as the LCM Lady Bears Athlete of the Week. Brianca has played a big role on the track team, competing in 5 events the majority of this season. At the Area Meet, she earned a gold medal for the 4x2 Relay and silver medals for the 4x1 Relay & 200M Dash—making her a Regional Qualifier in 3 events! Brianca also had a personal best time in the 200M Dash, and was a member of both relay teams that set two new school records last week.
BEARS BATTLE BACK FOR BIG DISTRICT WIN
April 11 (LCM) – The Bears battled back after beind down 3-0 in the first to get a big 4-3 district win over the Silsbee Tigers. Parker Seago provided the fireworks with a walk off single to score Justin McCarver. Landon Richards (above) came in after the Tigers went up in the first and stopped the Tigers offense with 5.2 innings of shutout baseball with 9K’s. Parker Freeman pitched a scoreless seventh. Dreyden Cook also homered in the win.
LADY BEARS WIN DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP
April 11 (Jasper) – The Lady Bears claimed the district championship and extended their win streak to 12 and remain undefeated at in district play. Lexis Moss sent another bomb out in the fourth to score three runs. Moss also hit in another run in the seventh with a single.Tessa Erickson got the win in the circle giving up 2 runs on eight hits, one walk and she struck out 10. Erickson went 4-for-5 at the plate with 1 RBI. Kendall Jones went 2-for-4, Keylie Washburn went 2-for-5 and Ella Stephenson went 1-for-3. Jones, Washburn and Taylor all had one stolen base. The Lady Bears (25-4-1, 11-0) will honor their seniors Tuesday night when they take on the Bridge City Cardinals.
GIRLS TRACK & FIELD CLAIMS AREA TITLE
BOYS TRACK & FIELD AREA RESULTS
April 10 (Orange) – The Bears Track & Field team competed in the Area Meet Thursday afternoon. Lincoln Gaulden took first place in the 110m Hurdles and third place in the 300m Hurdles. Gaulden qualifed for the Regional Meet in both events. Carson Phelps also qualfied for the Regional Meet by taking third place in the Shot Put. Other results are as follows: Cazador Edgerton (5th place in the 3200m Run) – the relay team of PJ Smith, J’Lynn Morris, KD Reed, and Jakson Struwe finished in 6th place in the 4x100 and 4x200 – the 4x400 team of Jackson Smith, Taylor Castaneda, KD Reed, and Co’Ryan Kemp finished in 5 place and set a PR by 8 seconds.
BEARS TAKE CARE OF TIGERS
April 8 (Silsbee) – The Bears beat Silsbee 12-5 behind a three run homer by Marco Bandiero. Parker Seago struck out 11 for the win. Seago also had two hits in the lead off as every Bear starter got into the hit column. Clay Darby was credited with 4RBI’s on a 1-4 night.
LADY BEARS CRUSH SILSBEE
April 8 (LCM) – The Lady Bears (24-4-1, 10-0) crushed Silsbee 10-1 as catcher Lexis Moss (above) was 3-for-4 with 2HR’s and 6 RBI’s. Kendall Jones had three hits and Jill Brown was 2-2 with a walk and an RBI. Ella Stephenson and Tessa Erickson combined to pitch a 4 hitter with 5K’s and 2 walks.
