PHELPS FINISHES 10TH AT STATE

March 22 (Abilene) – Carson Phelps (above) put together his best meet of the year at the State Powerlifting Meet. Phelps PR’d his squat with a lift of 650, PR’d his bench with a lift of 470, and matched his deadlift with a lift of 550. He had a PR total of 1670 lbs. finishing 10 in the 308 weight class.

ALLEN TAKES 8TH AT STATE MEET

March 15 (Frisco) – Sophomore Alasia Allen placed 8th in the State of all the 1A through 6A lifters in her weight class. Allen and fellow sophomore Gracelynn Smith competed at the THSWPA State Powerlifting Meet in Frisco Friday afternoon.

PHELPS QUALIFIES FOR STATE POWERLIFTING CHAMPIONSHIP

March 7 (Colmesneil) – Carson Phelps placed 4th in the 308 Lb. Class at the THSPA Region 4 Division 2 Regional Powerlifting Meet Thursday morning. By totaling 1600 pounds, Phelps qualified to compete at the State Powerlifting Championship in Abilene.

LADY BEARS COMPETE AT REGIONAL POWERLIFTING MEET

March 2 (Bay City) – The Lady Bear Powerlifting team competed in the Region 4 Division 2 4A Large Powerlifting Meet in Bay City Saturday morning. Gracelynn Smith placed 1st and Alasia Allen took 4th in their weight division to qualify for the 4A State Meet. Other LCM results are as follows: Peyton Elliott (5th place),Madison Loupe (9th place), Haylee Lebouef (8th place), Cailynn Nichols (11th place), Jaiden Romar (5th place), Kiari Walsten (5th place), Cassandra Neville (6th place), and Isabella Nicholas (4th place)
