April 12 – The Bears Varsity Tennis team to part in the Russell Grogan Tournament Friday morning. Abigail Wilson took 2nd place in Girls Singles while Jace Benton placed 3rd in Boys Singles. The team of Zaret Hermosillo and Rachel Ammean took 3rd place in Girls Doubles.

BEARS RACK UP GOLD IN RAMOS TOURNEY

March 15 (Woodville) – The Bear Tennis team racked up plenty of gold medals in the Woodville/Sergio Ramos Tournament in Friday mording. Lucia Montoto (above) won 1st place in the girls singles division while Carson Foster won 1st place in the boys singles division. The team of Cooper Smith and Luke Scott won 1st place in the boys doubles division. Zaret Hermosillo and Rachel Ammean won 2nd in the girls doubles division.

March 8 (Nederland) – The Bear Varsity Tennis team competed in the Nederland Bulldog Tournament Friday morning. Bryn Parry (above left) and David Daleo (above right) won 3 place in boys doubles and Carson Forester won 2 in boys singles.

JV BRINGS HOME MEDALS

March 7 (PNG) – Alexia Wright (above left) and Jilian Hunt (above right) brought home the Silver Medal in the Girls Doubles this morning at the PNG JV Tennis Tournament. Sam Barnes came away with Bronze in the Boys Singles.

March 1 (Kountze) – Bear Tennis competed in the Kountze tournament Friday morning. In the girls singles division, Lucia Montoto (above left) won the 3rd place bronze medal and in the boys singles division, Carson Forester (above right) won the 1st place gold medal.

February 23 – Bear Tennis competed in the Deyoung Memorial Tournament on Friday. In the varsity boys doubles division, Luke Scott and Cooper Smith brought home the 2nd place silver medal.

BEARS TAKE AREA CHAMPIONSHIP

October 12 (Pearland) – The Bear Tennis team celebrated winning the Bi-District Championship Monday and today they are celebrating another championship. The Bears defeated El Campo 16-3 in round two of the playoffs Thursday morning to win the Area Championship.

BEARS CLAIM BI-DISTRICT TITLE

October 9 (Barbers Hill) - The LCM Tennis team claimed the Bi-District championship Monday morning with a dominating 18-1 win over West Fork.  The Bears advance to the Area Round and will take on El Campo this Thursday (Oct. 12) at 10am in Pearland.

BEARS CLINCH DISTRICT CROWN

September 25 (LCM) – On Monday night, the LCM Tennis team clinched the district championship with their victory over Lumberton.  The Bears went undefeated this season.  Winners of the night were … Singles – Carson Forester, Jace Benton, David Daleo, Ethan Fry, Cooper Smith, Rachel Ammean, Christine Qi, Zaret Hermosillo, and Keylie Washburn.  Doubles – Forester and Benton, Daleo and Bryn Parry, Smith and Fry, Qi and Hermosillo, Washburn and Ella Stephenson, Ammean and Maddie McConnell.

BATTLIN’ BEAR TENNIS REMAINS UNDEFEATED

September 18 (LCM) – The Battlin’ Bear Tennis team hosted the Vidor Pirates Monday afternoon and came away with another victory.  The Bears remain undefeated in district this season. Winners in the Singles division were: Carson Forester, Bryn Parry, Cooper Smith, Christine Qi, Rachel Ammean, Zaret Hermosillo, Keylie Washburn, Maddie McConnell, and Ella Stephenson.  Winners in the Doubles division were: Carson Forester and Jace Benton, David Daleo and Bryn Parry, Christine Qi and Zaret Hermosillo (above), Keylie Washburn and Ella Stephenson, and Maddie McConnell and Jenna Huckaby.

BEARS REMAINS PERFECT

September 11 (LCM) – The Bear Tennis team picked up another victory to remain perfect on the season.  The Bears won 12-7 over the visiting Bridge City Cardinals Monday afternoon.  LCM will look to stay perfect when they host Vidor next Monday (9/18) at home.

BEARS TAKE DOWN LUMBERTON

September 5 (Lumberton) - The Bears hit the courts again and came away with another solid win.  LCM downed the Lumberton Raiders 15-4 overall.  Singles winners were: Carson Forester, David Daleo, Jace Benton, Bryn Parry, Cooper Smith, Sam Barnes, Christine Qi, Rachel Ammean, Zaret Hermasillo, and Keylie Washburn.  Doubles winners were: Qi and Hermasillo, Forester and Benton, Parry and Daleo, and Smith and Luke Scott.

August 28 (Vidor) – The Bear Tennis team picked up their second win of the season as the travelled to Vidor and came away with a 15-4 victory.  Winners in the Single Division were: Carson Forester, Ethan Fry, Bryn Parry, Cooper Smith, Maddie McConnell, Rachel Ammean, Zaret Hermosillo, Ella Stephenson, Christine Qi, and Keylie Washburn.  Doubles winners were: Washburn and Stephenson, McConnell and Abby Wilson, Qi and Hermosillo, Parry and David Daleo, and Smith and Luke Scott.

BEARS CLAIM VICTORY IN DISTRICT OPENER

August 21 (LCM) – Bear Tennis competed in their first district match against Bridge City Monday afternoon.  The Bears took home the victory with an overall 13-6 win.  Winners of the matches were: Keylie Washburn and Ella Stephenson (above) (Girls Doubles), Maddie McConnell and Rachel Ammean (Girls Doubles), Cooper Smith and Luke Scott (Boys Doubles), Bryn Parry and David Daleo (Boys Doubles), and Jace Benton and Abby Wilson (Mixed Doubles).  In Girls Singles, Stephenson, Washburn, Zaret Hermosillo, McConnell, and Ammean all won their matches.  In Boys Singles, Daleo, Parry, and Smith were all victorious.
