LADY BEARS TAKE 1ST – BEARS FINISH 2ND AT PIRATES RELAYS

March 6 (Vidor) – Both Track & Field teams had a tremendous meet at the Vidor Pirate Relays Thursday night. The girls took 1st place overall and the boys finished 2nd. Results for the Lady Bears are as follows: Paisley Angelle (1st in the 100m adn 300m Hurdles), Briance Barclay (3rd place in the 200m Dash and 4th place in the Long Jump), Sarah Barnes (2nd place in the Pole Vault), Zay Epps (5th place in the 100m Dash), Marley Hyman (5th place in the High Jump), Janet Le (1st place in the Pole Vault and 2nd place in the 200m Dash), Braxtyn McClain (3rd place in the300m Hurdles), Kenzie Medina (5th place in the 1600m Run), Mallory Russell (1st place in the High Jump), Sarah Taylor (1st place in the Long Jump and 3rd place in the Triple Jump), Dinah Tippins (1st place in the 100m Dash and 200m Dash), Allyson Welch (2nd place in the 1600m Run and 5th place in the 800m Run). Le, Barclay, Epps, and Maya Meadows took 1st place in the 4x1 Relay. Le, Tippins, Barclay, and Meadows took 1st place in the 4x2 Relay. Cyra Johnson, McClain, Kinsey Dryden, and Angelle took 2nd place in the 4x4 Relay. Results for the Bears: Ian Loncon (2nd place in the Shot Put), Marek Lloyd (3rd place in the Discus), Devan Doe (4th place in the Discus), Brynnen Manning (6th place in the Triple Jump and 4th place in the 110m Hurdles), Michael Ly (3rd place in the 3200m), Cazador Edgerton (5th place in the 800m and 2nd place in the 1600m), Lincoln Gaulden (2nd place in the 110m Hurdles and 5th place in the 300m Hurdles), Matthieu Pitre (6th place in the 110m Hurdles), Bryson Lucas (5th place in the 400m), and PJ Smith (6th place in the 200m). PJ Smith, J’Lynn Morris, KD Reed, and Co’Ryan Kemp took 3rd in the 4x100 and 2nd place in the 4x200. Kemp Bryson Lucas, Taylor Castaneda, and Reed finished 2nd in the 4x400.

TRACK & FIELD AT CARDINAL RELAYS – LADY BEARS TAKE SECOND

February 27 (Bridge City) – Bear Track & Field had a solid meet Thursday afternoon at the Cardinal Relays. Results for the Bears are as follows: Carson Phelps (2nd place in the Shot Put), Eddie Winters (5th place in the Discus), Isaac Pinder (5th place in the Pole Vault), Kamron Livingston (4th place in the 3200m), Jakson Struwe (3rd place in the 200m and 6th place in the 100m), Cazador Edgerton (5th place in the 800m), Lincoln Gaulden (4th place in the 110m Hurdles and 4th place in the 300m Hurdles), and Taylor Castenada (6th place in the 400m). In the relays, PJ Smith, J’Lynn Morris, KD Reed, and Jayden Johnson finished 5th in the 4x100. Smith, Morris, Reed, and Co’Ryan Kemp finished 4th in the 4x200. In the 4x400, Kemp, Edgerton, Reed, and Castenada finished 5th. The Lady Bears finshed second overall. Results are as follows: Paisley Angelle (1st place in the 100m and 300m Hurdles), Brianca Barclay (3rd place in the 200m Dash), Sarah Barnes (3rd place in the Pole Vault), Janet Le (2nd place in the Pole Vault and 100m Dash), Braxtyn McClain (2nd place in the 300m Hurdles), Kenzie Medina (6th place in the 3200m Run), Mallory Russell (5th place in the High Jump), Dinah Tippins (1st place in the 200m Dash), and Allyson Welch (5th place in the 3200m Run and 6th place in the 1600m Run). In the 4x100 Relay, Le, Tippins, Barclay, and Maya Meadows placed 1st. In the 4x200, Le, Barclay, Meadows, and Cyra Johnson took 1st.

ANGELLE SELECTED LADY BEARS AOW

February 24 – Congratulations junior Paisley Angelle for being selected as the LCM Lady Bears Athlete of the Week. In the first track meet of the season, Paisley appeared to have not skipped a beat since coming off a successful sophomore season that included trips to Austin for Texas Relays & the State Track Meet. Paisley dominated the two events she competed in, earning gold medals for both the 100M Hurdles & the 300M Hurdles.

TRACK & FIELD BEGINS SEASON AT PNG

February 20 (Port Neches) – The LCM Track & Field teams began their 2025 season at the Joe Williamson Relays at PNG. The Bears results are as follows: Carson Phelps (3rd place in the Shotput), Eddie Winters-Wilhite (4th place in the Discus and 6th place in the Shotput), Isaac Pinder (4th place in the Pole Vault), Brynnen Manning (4th place in the Long Jump), Kamron Livingston (4th place in the 3200m Run), Cazador Edgerton (1st place in the 800m Run), Lincoln Gaulden (4th place in the 110m Hurdles and 6th place in the 300m Hurdles), Taylor Castenada (3rd place in the 400m Run), and Cohen Kalena (5th place in the 400m Run). PJ Smith, J’Lynn Morris, Braylon Morris, and Co’Ryan Kemp took 5th in the 4x100 and 3rd in the 4x200. For the Lady Bears: Paisley Angelle (1st place in the 100m Hurdles and 1st place in the 300m Hurdles), Brianca Barclay (2nd place in the 200m Dash), Sarah Barnes (5th place in the Pole Vault), Janet Le (2nd place in the Pole Vault, 3rd place in the 100m Dash, and 5th place in the 200m Dash), Braxtyn McClain (3rd place in the 300m Hurdles), Jaiden Romar (3rd place in the Shot Put), Mallory Russell (1st place in the High Jump), and Allyson Welch (6th place in the 3200m Run and 6th place in the 1600m Run).
