October 9 (Orange) – Both of LCM’s Cross Country teams are headed to Regionals after second place finishes behind Lumberton on Thursday at District Meet at Claiborne Park. Freshman Marren Crawford (below) was the girls overall District Champion.

BEARS 1ST – LADY BEARS RUNNER-UP IN LIBERTY

September 26 (Liberty) – Boys cross country won first place for two years in a row at the Tony Munson Invitational at Liberty Friday morning. Chase Peacock finished 2nd, Brodie Fisher 3rd, Cazador Edgerton 9th, Derek Lopez 13th, Michael Ly 19th, Jose Perez 26th, and Mason Monceaux 31st. The boys scored 42 points as a team.

BEARS TAKE FIRST IN DAYTON

September 19 (Anahuac) – Cross Country competed at the Anahuac Tune Up Friday morning. 

The Bears took first place overall with a total of 59 points. Individually, Brodie Fisher placed 2nd, Cazador Edgerton placed 5th, and Derek Lopez placed 14th.

The Lady Bears placed 2nd overall. Marren Crawford won first place, Allyson Welch placed 3rd, and Kyler Mullins placed 4th.

PEACOCK SELECTED BEARS AOW

September 15 – Congratulations to junior, Chase Peacock for being selected as the LCM Bears Athlete of the Week. This weekend, Chase competed in the Dayton Cross Country Invitational and placed 10th in 1A-6A with a personal best time of 16:58. This PR qualified him to run in the Silver Elite Division at the Hoka McNeil Invitational in Austin this Saturday.

WELCH SELECTED LADY BEARS AOW

September 15 – Congratulations to senior, Allyson Welch for being selected as the LCM Lady Bears Athlete of the Week. On Saturday, Allyson placed 8th in the Dayton Invitational Cross Country Meet with a personal best of time of 12:57.

September 13 (Dayton) – Cross Country competed at the Dayton Invitational Saturday morning. For the boys, Chase Peacock placed 10th in 1A-6A. For the girls, Marren Crawford placed 3rd, Allyson Welch placed 8th, and Kyler Mullins placed 10th in 1A-6A.

FISHER SELECTED BEARS AOW

September 7 – Congratulations to junior Brodie Fisher for being selected as the LCM Bears Athlete of the Week. Last Saturday, Brodie competed in the Region III Preview Meet in Huntsville and placed 10th. His time of 17:30 was instrumental to the boys team finishing 4th out of 29 teams.

September 6 (Huntsville) – Brodie Fisher finished 10th at the Region III preview meet in Huntsville Saturday morning. The boys team finished in 4th out of 29 teams and Allyson Welch placed 14th out of 191 runners.

CRAWFORD SELECTED LADY BEARS AOW

August 25 – Congratulations to freshman Marren Crawford for being selected as the LCM Lady Bears Athlete of the Week. In the Rick Miller Cross Country Invitational, Marren placed 1st with an impressive time of 13:15.29, helping the Lady Bears win the team title.

LADY BEARS TAKE FIRST – BEARS SECOND

August 23 (Orange) – The boys and girls cross country teams competed at Claiborne Park this morning. The girls team placed first overall and was led by freshman Marren Crawford (below) who placed first, followed by Allyson Welch in 5th and Kyler Mullins in 9th. The girls team won the meet with 49 points. The boys had a great outing and brought home second as a team with Brodie Fisher finishing 4th and Derek Lopez in 6th. The team will run again at Claiborne Park on August 30.
