PEACOCK QUALIFIES FOR STATE MEET

October 21 (Huntsville) – Sophomore Chase Peacock placed 10th at the 4A Region III Cross Country meet Monday morning at Sam Houston State University and qualified for the 4A State meet.

DRYDEN SELECTED LADY BEARS AOW

October 14 – Congratulations to junior Kinsey Dryden for being selected as the LCM Lady Bears Athlete of the Week. Kinsey has medaled in nearly every Cross Country Meet she’s competed in this season, and was the Lady Bears’ top finisher in the District 18-4A Meet last Thursday. She helped her team earn 3rd place honors by finishing 8th individually and qualifying for the Regional XC Meet at Sam Houston State University.

BEARS PLACE AT DISTRICT MEET

October 10 (Orange) – The boys & girls XC teams both placed at the District 18-4A Cross Country Meet at Claiborne Park Thursday morning. The boys placed 2nd and the girls placed 3rd. Individual results are as follows: Boys – Chase Peacock (3rd), Kamron Livingston (5th), and Cazador Edgerton (7th). Girls – Kinsey Dryden (8th) and Allyson Welch (10th). Both teams advance to the regional meet in Huntsville.

BEARS TAKE FIRST AGAIN

September 27 (Liberty) – The LCM boys cross country team took first place in the Liberty Tony Munson invitational Friday morning. Chase Peacock won with a PR of 17:01.

DAVIS SELECTED LADY BEARS AOW

September 23 – Congratulations to sophomore Chloe Davis for being selected as the LCM Lady Bears Athlete of the Week. Chloe has placed in the last 3 meets she’s competed in, including a 5th place finish at Anahuac this past weekend.

BOYS WIN AT ANAHUAC

September 20 (Anahuac) – The LCM boys Cross Country Team won the 1A-4A Division of the District Tune-Up hosted by Anahuac Friday morning. The Lady Bears finished third as a team.

BEARS RUN IN REGIONAL PREVIEW

September 7 (Huntsville) – The boys and girls teams competed at the Region III Preview Meet in Huntsville Saturday morning. Chase Peacock, Kamron Livingston, and Cazador Edgerton all hit a PR. Individual places for boys: Chase Peacock (11th), Kamron Livingston (15th), Cazador Edgerton (58th), and Derek Lopez (66th). Individual places for girls: Chloe Davis (57th) and Allyson Welch (69th).

BEARS WIN CARDINAL CLASSIC

August 30 (Orange) – The boys team won the 1A-4A division of the Cardinal Classic Saturday morning at Claiborne Park. Individual results are as follows: Kamron Livingston (2nd), Chase Peacock (3rd), Derek Lopez (10th), Cazador Edgerton (13th), and Michael Ly (17th). In the girls division Chloe Davis, Allyson Welch, and Kinsey Dryden were individual medalist.

WELCH & DAVIS NAMED LADY BEARS AOW

August 26 – Congratulations to junior Allyson Welch & sophomore Chloe Davis for being selected as the LCM Lady Bears Athletes of the Week. This past weekend, both of these girls earned medals at the Rick Miller Relays Cross Country Meet. Allyson placed 9th and Chloe finished 10th.

August 24 (Orange) – The Bears ran in the Rick Miller Relays at Claiborne Park Saturday morning. The boys team placed 2nd in the 1A-4A division. Kamron Livingston placed 4th, Chase Peacock – 8th, Derek Lopez – 10th, Cazador Edgerton – 13th, and Michael Ly – 20th. In the girls division, Allyson Welch placed 9th and Chloe Davis finished in 10th.

LOPEZ AND PEACOCK TAKE FIFTH

August 10 (Huffman) – The boys ran six miles total each ran a mile and a half twice. Chase Peacock (above right) and Derek Lopez (above left) finished 5th in the 1A-4A division. The girls ran four miles total and each girl ran one mile twice. Allyson Welch and Kinsey Dryden finished 7th in the 1A-4A division.
