How Financial Aid Works
Get Ready to File the 2025-2026 FAFSA
- FAFSA website
FSA ID Tracking Sheet – The FSA ID is the user name and password students will use to access all Federal Student Aid websites, including FAFSA.gov. It takes about 10 minutes to create an account and set up an FSA ID. We strongly recommend getting FSA IDs ahead of time. For dependent students, at least one contributor (may be more than one) will also need to create an account and set up an FSA ID to sign the FAFSA.

Financial Aid Application - FAFSA or TASFA?
TAFSA – If you’re a foreign student or non–US citizen residing in Texas, you may still be eligible to be classified as a Texas resident for tuition purposes. If so, you may also be eligible to receive state financial aid.
