Dual Enrollment Home
Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School juniors and seniors can dual enroll to earn college credits while still earning high school credits. LCMHS is partnering with Lamar State College-Orange.

LCM High School students can earn high school and college credit through Lamar State College Orange (LSCO).

Meet with your LCMHS counselor to select an approved dual-credit course.
Follow the application steps on the LSCO Dual Credit Students page.
Submit the required transcript and determine whether TSI testing is required.
Check your LSCO email and MyGator regularly for registration, payment, textbook, and deadline information.

Qualifying economically disadvantaged students may take approved dual-credit courses at no cost. Other dual-credit academic and technical courses are $45 per semester credit hour. Technical courses taught at LCMHS by qualified district instructors are tuition-free. Additional materials, supplies, lab fees, or program fees may apply.
Students are automatically enrolled in the Gator Book Pack. Check the current price and opt-out deadline, and confirm required materials with your teacher or counselor before opting out.

The TSI Assessment determines whether a student is ready for college-level coursework. Students may also meet college-readiness requirements through qualifying SAT or ACT scores.
LCM offers the TSI during the spring for students planning to take eligible dual-credit courses. Testing is also available by appointment through the LSCO Testing Center.

Students taking classes on the LSCO campus may need to provide proof of bacterial meningitis vaccination. Review the LSCO vaccination requirements.

Dual-credit courses create an official college transcript. Discuss course selection, grades, withdrawals, and transfer plans with your counselor.

Before enrolling, check your intended college’s degree plan to make sure the course applies to your major. Core courses often transfer, but they may fulfill different requirements at different colleges.
If a course equivalency is not listed, contact the college to confirm how the credit will apply before enrolling.

When applying to college, request a current LSCO transcript. Courses still in progress will not show final grades.
After your final dual-credit grades are posted, request an official final LSCO transcript and have it sent to the college you plan to attend.
