CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE)
Mission
The LCMCISD Career and Technical Education programs will equip our students for the world outside of LCMCISD and is aligned with the workforce needs of Southeast Texas. LCM CTE provides students with the opportunity to explore the various CTE pathways, earn an industry-based certification, and/or earn college credits while still in high school. We are preparing our students for a diverse and ever-changing technological global society.
Vision
Every LCM CTE student will create and complete a personalized sequence of courses aligned with Southeast Texas business and industry to prepare them for further education and/or careers in current and emerging professions.

Endorsements
Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs of study satisfy graduation credit requirements for three endorsement areas: Business and Industry, Public Service, and STEM. All students declare an endorsement area in 8th grade by selecting a program of study that best prepares them for their career goals. The earned endorsement(s) will be reflected on the student’s official transcript upon high school graduation.
Credit toward an endorsement through completion of a CTE program of study requires at least 4 credits in at least 3 courses in an approved CTE program including at least one advanced (TEA level 3 and 4) CTE course.
