PSAT Testing

The PSAT/NMSQT measures reading, writing, and math skills and helps students prepare for the SAT. It is offered at LCM High School each fall to interested 10th- and 11th-grade students.

For juniors, the PSAT/NMSQT also serves as the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Students who meet program requirements may qualify for National Merit recognition and scholarships.

  • Registration and payment will be completed through PayK12.

  • Eligible students may qualify for a fee waiver. Contact Mrs. Cart for information before registering.

  • Testing room assignments and additional instructions will be provided before test day.

  • Students should arrive at their assigned testing room before the scheduled start time. Testing will begin promptly.

After the PSAT

Scores are typically released several weeks after testing. Students will receive information about accessing their scores and can use their results to identify areas for improvement and prepare for the SAT.

Juniors can learn more about National Merit recognition and scholarships through the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
